A painter who dedicated most of his life to colors looked at me and said, "The best advice I can offer is this: don’t focus on yourself when you’re working, or on what you might gain from it. Instead, consider what you can contribute to the lives of others. How will it make them feel? It's also essential to sustain the artist's mindset throughout your work and resist allowing the moment to become mundane. If you ever feel drained, take a break and engage in something different before returning to your task."
He then quoted Vincent van Gogh: "Every artist dips his brush in his own soul and paints his own nature into his pictures.
